Central Campus Infrastructure Project

The $10 million Central Campus Infrastructure Project extends from the site of the Commonwealth Honors College Residential Complex through the core Campus to the site of the New Academic Classroom Building.  This project will improve existing capacity and install new utilities in the area while supporting the planned development of new buildings. 

Construction is scheduled to take place, in phases, through November, 2013. Much of the work will be done by running new utility lines through existing tunnels and conduit, without the need to dig open trenches, so the entirety of the project will have a much smaller surface "footprint" than what might be suggested by the project area map at right.

Pedestrian walkways and emergency vehicle access will be maintained to the greatest degree possible.
