Mission Statement

To provide an effective physical environment that supports the University of Massachusetts
Amherst in its delivery of  teaching, research, and public service.
 

Objectives:

1. Continually promote and foster a commitment to customer service that meets the
   needs of a diverse campus community.
2. Assure effective land and building utilization through a comprehensive program
   of professional facilities planning and capital development.
3. Plan and develop campus facilities and grounds through an integrated program
   of renovations, alterations, new construction, and maintenance support.
4. Continually develop, evaluate, administer criteria and standards for the design,
   construction, and aesthetic improvement of all campus facilities and grounds.
