This fall Christine B. McCormick celebrated her first
year as dean of the School of Education. McCormick earned
her MS and PhD in educational psychology from the University
of Wisconsin-Madison and her BA in psychology from Purdue.
Before coming to UMass Amherst, she taught at the University
of New Mexico— photographs of dramatic western landscapes
adorn her Furcolo office. During her career, she has received
awards for teaching and research and authored or co-authored
