The rich history of the Stockbridge School of Agriculture was palpable at the Mullins Center June 10. About 300 alumni from the classes of 1920 to 1960 gathered for a special commencement ceremony, in which they were awarded associate degrees.

This fall, Emily Barnes from Salem, Massachusetts, arrives on campus as a first-year student with plans to major in mathematics. She is one of two Salem High School grads, UMass Amherst bound, awarded John and Grace Welch Endowed Scholarships this June. Thomas Long, who will be majoring in chemistry, is the other. [more]
Eileen Breslin, PhD, RN has been Dean of the School of Nursing for eight years. In that time, she has championed numerous SON programs that advance the nursing profession. She is the co-editor of the book Women’s Health Nursing—Toward Evidence-Based Practice by the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric & Neonatal Nurses, published in 2003, and serves on the board of directors for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
