Executive Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations
The University of Massachusetts Amherst has an opening for an Executive Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations and is seeking a highly experienced, motivated and energetic individual to join its Development team as the campus embarks on its UMass Rising fund raising campaign.

Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Development, the Executive Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations is a senior fund raising officer responsible for all phases of planning, operation and management of a campus-wide program for promoting, developing and increasing corporate and foundation support for the University’s academic and campaign priorities. This encompasses management of staff; strategic thinking; proposal development and submission; prospect management; capacity building and pipeline work; managing relationships with corporate and foundation officers; working with campus and academic leadership, school, college and unit Directors of Development and faculty members. This position will work closely with the Office of Research and Engagement and the Institute for Applied Life Sciences.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree, with an advanced degree preferred; six or more years of fund raising or related experience, preferably working with a comprehensive university; at least three years demonstrated success in securing major corporate and foundation grants/gifts; extensive proposal development/management experience; experience working with both senior level officers and volunteers; excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills; ability to analyze and mange competing priorities in a complex environment;, management experience with demonstrated leadership abilities; ability and willingness to travel; knowledge of prospect management systems and fund raising software preferred.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
