Campaign Events Coordinator

The University of Massachusetts Amherst Foundation is seeking an experienced, motivated, and energetic individual to join its Development team as the Campaign Events Coordinator.

Reporting to the Vice Chancellor for Development and Alumni Relations, the Campaign Events Coordinator will coordinate campaign activities and provide support, liaison and information management for academic and administrative staff, volunteers and vendors involved in campaign planning, implementation and management.  This position is a temporary benefitted appointment that may be renewed by the Vice Chancellor on June 30, 2016.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, business or related field.  One to three years of event planning experience and a high degree of organizational and communications skills. Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively with senior management, staff and constituent groups across all levels of the organization and to maintain productive professional relationships in complex, demanding environments.  Excellent interpersonal and multitasking skills. Computer skills in using a word processing application and ability to access and update a computerized donor database. Ability to work evenings and weekends.  Preferred Qualifications:  Experience in non-profit environments, particularly in fundraising operations.

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
