Senior Associate Director of Athletics/Executive Director of Development for Athletics

The Senior Associate Director of Athletics/Executive Director of Development for Athletics is responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive development program for the University’s Division I FBS athletics department. The position oversees all operations related to the department’s development unit (Minutemen Club) which incorporates major gift, capital and annual fundraising activities for constituents with an interest in intercollegiate athletics. This position reports directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Constituent Programs with a dotted line to the Director of Athletics.

Your Responsibilities:

·         Work in close partnership with the Director of Athletics to provide leadership and strategic direction for the athletics department development unit.

Executive Director of Planned Giving

The University of Massachusetts Amherst Foundation is seeking an Executive Director of Planned Giving to oversee the development and management of a national program designed to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward prospective and current planned giving donors. This position reports to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Development.

Your Responsibilities:

·         Manage the Planned Giving staff; mentor Development staff in the area of planned giving, provide training as appropriate, and collaborate on the planned giving activities of the frontline fundraising team.

·         Evaluate the current planned giving program in order to plan, design and implement best methods and approaches.
