Student Bridges is a student-initiated outreach program that connects UMass students with local community-based organizations and schools through tutoring-mentoring partnerships, college awareness activities, and policy advocacy. The program has primarily partnered with schools and programs in the Holyoke-Springfield area. Attend an informational on how to get involved in our various community-service learning opportunities.

Now that everyone’s arrived to campus, come meet your entire floor! It’s an exciting time to learn about living together this year. This is a great opportunity to talk about community, respect, and all the ways you will have fun together as a floor community! During your floor meeting you will meet other residents and find out how to become more involved on campus. Your RA will provide snacks (all halls except RFYE halls)!

Ever had the mall stay open late just for you? Come to the Hampshire Mall and pick up some of the things you need for your room or just come and do some window shopping. Catch a bus from campus locations starting at 8:50 p.m. until 11:30 a.m. Return to campus on a return shuttle from the same mall locations starting at 9:30 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. Shuttles will run in loops to and from campus and will run every 10 minutes.

Don’t let the name fool you… Amy Anderson has been described as “a skinny Margaret Cho” and “a heterosexual, Asian Ellen”. Amy would describe herself as “a funny American girl who happened to be born in Korea and adopted by Swedish parents in suburban Minnesota”. Amy is a one-of-a-kind on the comedy scene and her act will remind you to never judge a book by its cover.

Bo Burnham is a teenager and comedian. In 2006, he wrote songs, posted them online, and lots of people saw them. Then, he started playing live shows. He played at colleges, clubs and theaters. People came. In August of 2008, four days after his eighteenth birthday, he became the youngest person to record a Comedy Central special. He released a CD in March 2009. Some people think he is funny.

You can use a meal swipe for concessions at the football games. Just head to the DC on Friday night and have the DC cashier run your card through and let them know that it’s for concessions at the game. You’ll receive a coupon for eating at the concession stand on Saturday. Check the football schedule for home game dates and times.
