Manhattan School of Music
Manhattan School of Music is looking for produced video/film works that need to be scored.
For several years Manhattan School of Music has been collaborating with Columbia, NYU, SVA, Hunter College & several other film schools so that student composers taking a film scoring class get to work one on one with a student film maker scoring a short film in the Spring semester. This has been a great, "real world" program with many benefits for students on both sides. In an effort to provide our students with a larger pool of films to choose from, and also to offer this opportunity to more film schools nationally, we are currently engaged in attempting to expand the base of film schools and students who may be interested in participating in this program. Accepting submissions of student shorts between 5-15 minutes long. The only commitment necessary from the film students is that they send the films in Quicktime format & agree to have some communication with the composer as they're working on the score. The "long-distance" internet, Skype, phone collaborations were quite successful last year, so there's really no restrictions as far as location of the student film makers. Film Composer
Adam Brown: I am a professional and experienced film composer. I am looking to meet some ambitious and talented directors/producers; thinking of the long term. I am open to new and exciting productions - willing to work for expenses only to develop long term relationships with directors/producers.
I have a lot of experience in the industry working on projects ranging from short films and commercials to corporate productions and feature length films. I have recently worked on a BBC 3 Documentary Series which will be aired late 2012; among many other productions this year alone. I have benefited from attending and studying at some of the country's finest establishments including the Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music and Purcell School of Music.
