IHS Fall Production Internships 2009
IHS is accepting applications for the IHS Fall Production Internship program. The program offers paid placements in film, TV, animation, and video game development.
We place interns on teams developing feature films, freedom-oriented documentaries, and television comedies. We also work with CGI, animation and video game developers.
During the internship, students willl sharpen their skills while learning from experienced professionals. Plus, they will get a first-hand look at the entertainment industry and expand their professional networks. Past program participants have interned at Warner Brothers, Focus Features, and Big Mouth Productions.
Our internship program offers a stipend plus a housing and travel allowance. We also provide full tuition plus travel assistance for all interns to attend our weeklong film & fiction workshop in the summer, where they will discuss the work of great filmmakers, screenwriters, and authors, and hear lectures and career advice from industry professionals.
To apply or to learn more, visit the IHS web site. The application deadline is July 1.

Qualifications:
Interns
should understand and be comfortable with the nature of MEF's work providing
hard-hitting, progressive media criticism and scholarship in an accessible
format and language through video. They should also be comfortable working
in an atmosphere where media images representing extreme violence and sexual
imagery are sometimes part of the picture. Interns should also be computer
savvy in basic programs and Internet savvy, since more and more research
requires on-line searching. Previous video production experience or course
work is not absolutely required, but it can be useful in getting the most
out of the internship.
