Work Requests, Work Management, Customer Service, and the FCS Solutions Center

How do I make a (non-emergency) service request?

You can submit an on-line service requestIf you need help filling out the form, you can always call the FCS Solutions Center at 545-6401.

You can also use our Service Request App.  That's right, there's an app for that.

FCS has partnered with My UMass to create a service request app. Make any facilities-related request (non-residential, non-emergency), and we'll take care of it.

Call the FCS Solutions Center at 545-6401.  We're staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, so we're able to provide the help you need when you need it most.

Can I check on the status of a service request or work task?

Absolutely!  Check out our Work Information Center (you'll need to log in with your Net ID and password).  You can view work by building name, look up a specific Work Task by Work Task number, look up a Service Request by its ID, and you can do an advanced Work Task search, too.

And, as always, if you can't find what you're looking for, or need any help at all, you can always call the Facilities Solutions Center at 545-6401.

Document Archives and Printing

Can I get something really BIG printed?

You sure can.  We can print in full color up to 36" x just about any length, and on a variety of stock, too --Tyvek (great for outdoor applications), peel-and-stick, bright white and more.  Smaller jobs, too, of course.  Give Pat Parenteau, our Construction Archives & Records Manager, a call and she'll work out the details.

Where can I hear FCS public service announcements?

Our PSAs are on the air Monday mornings on WMUA - 91.1FM to keep the campus informed about major projects, disruptions and developments.  We also post the announcement on-line each week.  Listen to the the latest FCS One Minute Message (MP3). 

How can I use FCS' branding in my publication or web site?

First, consult the FCS Brand Book [PDF]. Consistent, positive branding is an essential element in communicating who we are and what we do to the campus community; it also provides our large, diverse organization a common point of pride and identification.  The FCS Brand Book is intended to provide design assistance and standards to all those who wish to represent FCS on line or in print. 

Please don't try to create or replicate the FCS wordmarks on your desktop.  Approved combinations and layouts are available for download here as high resolution (300 bpi) PNG files.

For guidance on UMass branding, you should consult with University Relations.
