The application process has two steps:
1) Complete this application by e-mail. To request a paper copy from our office by e-mailing fcsilp@hfa.umass.edu or calling 545-3453.
2) Print out the work permission form and have it signed by the designated international student advisor on your home campus. Employment by the Five College Center for the Study of World Languages counts as on-campus employment for regularily enrolled students from all five campuses of the consortium. Either bring the form to our office in person, mail it back to us through campus mail (Five College Center for the Study of World Languages, 102 Bartlett Hall, University of Massachusettes) or fax the form to 413-545-3840. Applications will not be considered complete until we have received this form. U.S. citizens or permanent residents do not need to complete this form, but will be required to fill out an INS I-9 form showing valid citizenship or work permission upon being hired by the Center.

We often find it necessary to assign conversation partners to a group meeting at a different school. Conversation partners are normally expected to travel to the school most convenient for the students in their group.
