Albert Lo, recipient of a $300 Spring Travel Award, is a second-year clinical psychology doctoral student working with Dr. Harold Grotevant. Albert, who received his BS in psychology from the University of Delaware, recently completed his master’s thesis, which focused on how adoptive parents’ views of adoption influence the parent-child relationship. He is also involved in research examining how different trajectories of birth family contact may predict the well-being of adopted individuals in adulthood. Albert is currently the program coordinator for the Adoption Mentoring Partnership (AMP). As program coordinator, he instructs college-age adoptive mentors who are matched with adopted youths in the community.
