The Center for Research on Families (CRF) is delighted to announce that Dorothy Morúa-Fernandes has joined the Center as the Revenue and Grant Operations Manager. In this role, Dot will oversee the management of CRF’s research and revenue operations, communications, promotion of affiliated faculty and student research, and revenue generating activities. Dot has been at UMass Amherst for ten years in various administrative capacities. Most recently she worked in Corporate and Foundation Relations within Development working with faculty and staff to process and submit grant proposals. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Northern Colorado. Her husband, Rui Fernandes, is a graduate of the College of Engineering, and they live in Shutesbury with their son, Rui’s mother, two dogs, and two cats. Dot is passionate about the issues affecting families and she is very excited to be at CRF where she can support faculty in their efforts to inform society on family issues.
