Elizabeth Krause, a former Family Research Scholar and current Professor in the Department of Anthropology at UMass Amherst published an ethnography in 2018 titled, "Tight Knit: Global Families and the Social Life of Fast Fashion." Her book began with her research through CRF and her time as a Family Research Scholar where she studied family as a social unit in an industrial district in Central Italy. This industrial district was home to many transnational Chinese families and Krause focused on how different varieties of families persist or morph.
