CRF Director Powers to Facilitate Institute of Medicine Workshop
Director of the Center for Research on Families, Sally Powers, was invited by the National Academies’ Institute of Medicine to facilitate a 1 day meeting in Washington D.C. on February 8th to bring together a select group of nationally recognized researchers with leaders of over 20 federal agencies. The purpose of the meeting, which is titled The Science of Family Research: The Improvement of Family Measurement in Large Scale Studies, is for researchers and federal agencies to jointly plan next steps to develop and incorporate family measures into federal research initiatives, such as nation-wide Electronic Health Records (EHR)
