The Neighborhood Ecology of Family Influence on Delinquency and Violence

Professor Gorman-Smith studies the influence of community structural characteristics and neighborhood social organization on parenting practices and family relationship characteristics among families living in urban poor communities; the relationship between the community and family violence; the connection between delinquency and antisocial behavior.

All presentations are free and open to all.

The Tay Gavin Erickson Lectures began in 1999 though an endowment established in memory of Tay Gavin Erickson.
