The 2008 Presidential Election: a forum

Amy Schalet, Assistant Professor of the Sociology Department, UMass Amherst.
The Department of Sociology in collaboration with the Public Engagement Project held a panel discussion on the 2008 presidential election. Speakers addressed the following topics: representations of race and gender, sexual and reproductive politics, affirmative action, the financial crisis, and much more. Following the introductions there was an open-mike discussion among members of the audience.
