Shanshan Chen is currently a doctoral student in Nutrition at UMass Amherst. With a research emphasis specifically on women at reproductive ages, her dissertation will investigate food security, dietary practices and health risks among Cambodian pregnant women in Massachusetts. Shanshan received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing in 2004, then she worked at Anhui Medical University in China for 2 years, and earned her Master's degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2010. She also has a Master's degree in Nutrition from UMass Amherst.
