Lauren Foley is an undergraduate whose academic interests include social psychology, comparative religion, and social inequality. Her research interests center on the relationships between people of different racial, ethnic and religious backgrounds. As a CRF Family Research Assistant, Foley will be working alongside CRF Scholar and Professor Linda Tropp and graduate student Diala Hawi to determine how family and peers influence ones desire and likelihood to reach across group boundaries to form positive relationships. As a research assistant, she will assist Tropp and Hawi complete their current research in Northern Ireland and South Africa and will hopefully continue research on family influences on Palestinian, Israeli and Lebanese relations as well.
