Claudia Lugo-Candelas is second year graduate student in the clinical psychology program. She is originally from Puerto Rico, where she B.A. at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus.  She is currently studying the influence of culture in parents’ emotion socialization practices under the mentorship of Professor Elizabeth Harvey. Her main research interests are the emotion regulation processes and deficits in young children with disruptive behavior disorders, particularly ADHD. She will be traveling to Orlando, Florida to present a paper on Culture and the parental emotion socialization of college students in the American Psychologist Association’s Annual Convention.
