The Center for Research on Families at UMass Amherst is established as an exemplary research center within the UMass and 5-college systems and is recognized nationally and internationally as a source of state-of-the art research on a broad, multidisciplinary range of family issues.
Growth in CRF’s research programs for faculty, students, and national/international audiences since 2003 has been extraordinary -- producing multimillion dollar increases in federal research funding for family research, forging new connections among faculty and students conducting family research across campus, the Five Colleges, and the UMass system, and dramatically increasing national and international collaborations and participation in CRF programs and recognition for UMass family research. Each year:
- Approximately 1000 faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and graduate student researchers participate in CRF's programs.
- Graduate and undergraduate students recieve awards to conduct research in a mentored environment.
- Faculty produce successful grants in the Family Research Scholars Program.
- International experts visit campus, consult with faculty, and publicly present their research.
At this critical juncture in our growth, there are a number of areas where you can make an impact -- immediately and for the long-term.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
