The Vermont Family Business Initiative is a membership organization led by the University of Vermont's School of Business Administration. Our goal is to give Vermont businesses the tools and support they need to compete in both the local and global arenas.
South Dakota Family Business Initiative Providing an environment where business owning families can share experiences and learn from each other and professionals in the region. Continuing education for business owning families, the Initiative offers workshops to meet a variety of issues unique to family business, Affinity Lunch groups in a variety of locations across the state, class on Family Business Dynamics which includes the Distinguished Lecturer Series, quarterly meeting of professionals working with family business, as well as an annual conference.

University of Georgia Business Outreach/Small Business Development Center is a public service & outreach unit of The University of Georgia and a business assistance provider for the U.S. Small Business Administration. We seek to enhance the economic well-being of Georgians by utilizing the knowledge base of colleges and universities in our state. We provide a wide range of educational opportunities to small business owners, potential entrepreneurs, and community leadership organizations which support efforts to create, sustain and/or expand business ventures. These educational opportunities are delivered through direct business consulting, business training classes, and applied research studies.
The University of San Diego Family Business Forum (formerly the USD Family Business Institute) was one of the first and most successful forums in the country, drawing together owners and managers of family-owned businesses to help them learn, grow, and cope with the unique issues facing family-owned firms. The USD International Institute for Family-Owned Business has developed undergraduate and graduate courses in Family Business and continues efforts to develop an integrated institute in the area of Family Business, including teaching, research, and community service components.
