In celebration of the Fine Arts Center's 25th Anniversary, Easthampton Savings Bank has pledged $25,000 as an incentive match for the Frederick C. Tillis Endowment for the Arts. With $50,000 left to raise in the $250,000 campaign, Easthampton Savings Bank will match dollar for dollar gifts and pledges up to $25,000. Friends of the Fine Arts Center established the endowment in November 1997 to provide annual support for performances and exhibitions at the center.

William S. Hogan, Jr. is President and CEO of Easthampton Savings Bank and Vice-Chair of the Friends of the Fine Arts Center Board of Directors. In a recent interview, Bill noted that "many banks are called community banks, but Easthampton Savings Bank lives and acts like one. Not only do employees live in the community, but they also donate time, talents and services to organizations that enhance the quality of life where we live. The bank reaches out in a variety of ways to support activities we see as necessary to the region."

For the past decade, the Fine Arts Center has been one of the organizations to benefit from Easthampton Savings Bank's generosity. "The endowment," says Bill, "gives us an opportunity to leverage our contribution to do the most good. It's a campaign that produces clear results. We want to see the center continue to reach out to valley residents and offer high quality programs at affordable prices."

Established in 1869, Easthampton Savings Bank is an independent mutual bank, headquartered in Easthampton and with branches in Hadley, Northampton and Southampton. This community bank is big enough to offer a complete line of financial products and services, yet small enough to know its customers personally. Just two months ago, the bank launched full internet banking and it's been a terrific success. "I think our slogan," adds Bill, "says it all: Whatever you need, you'll find it here!" There's no better time to make an endowment gift than right now. Take Easthampton Savings Bank up on its challenge and help reach the goal during the Center's 25th Anniversary. Call the Friends of the Fine Arts Center at 545-3671 for more information.
