$100,000 from the Rockefeller Foundation for Intersection II, an international conference that took place September 26 to 29. $100,000 from Theater Communications Group and the Pew Charitable Trust for the National Theater Artist in Residence: Steven Sapp and Mildred Ruiz, artists. $85,000 from the Animating Democracy Initiative of Americans for the Arts funded by the Ford Foundation for Project 2050. $75,000, third installment of a three-year award, from the Surdna Foundation for the Looking In/To the Future program. $15,000 from the New England Foundation for the Arts to commission new works by artists of color. $15,000 from the Massachusetts Cultural Council for general operating support. $5,000 from the Massachusetts Foundation for the Humanities in support of Project 2050. Center Series

$3,300, $1,900, and $500 from the New England Foundation for the Arts in support of Garth Fagan, Teatro Hugo and Inez, and a travel grant respectively. Joyce Smar, Director.

Residential Arts
