Angel Tickets Take Flight

In a continuing effort to open our doors even wider to the community, the Fine Arts Center has instituted the Angel Tickets program. Angel Tickets provides complimentary tickets to Center performances for non-profit organizations that focus on meeting the needs of underserved populations in Hampshire, Hampden, and Franklin counties. Through Angel Tickets, individuals can experience live performances, regardless of their financial and/or social situation.

Developed with help from an advisory panel of human service agencies, Angel Tickets was launched during the 2000-2001 season. Agencies receiving Angel Tickets during its pilot year included Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Amherst; Grace House, Amherst; Project AIM/Community Enterprises, Springfield; Children's Aid and Family Services, Northampton; and eight other nonprofit agencies. And the response from participants has been one of excitement and gratitude. According to Corky Klimczak of Children's Aid and Family Services, "The opportunities made available through the Angel Tickets program have brought joy and cultural enrichment to the families who've been fortunate enough to attend."

For more information on Angel Tickets, contact Halina Kusleika, Assistant Director of Programming, at (413) 545-0190.
