General
Dear Readers,

January/March 2002 > Dear Readers,
Dear Readers,

I've thought a lot lately about the arts and the place they have in our lives, especially in light of current world events, and I've come to the conclusion that the arts play a significant role in helping us heal and in lifting our spirits.

Every season, thousands of children and adults come together at the Fine Arts Center for an impressive range of performances, exhibitions and educational programs. I imagine that, like me, you have sometimes been inspired and sometimes challenged by what you’ve seen, but I hope you've always been glad you came.

The Fine Arts Center is sustained in its mission by generous gifts from individual and corporate donors, who are called the Friends of the Fine Arts Center. This month opens our Friends' drive for the 2001-02 season. Our goal is to raise $250,000 for Fine Arts Center programs.

By clicking on the image to the right of this article, you'll find important information about what your gift makes possible. I hope you'll join me in supporting our work as generously as you are able.

My best wishes to you in the coming year and thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

William S. Hogan, Jr. Chair, Friends of the Fine Arts Center Board of Directors
