Paper Dolls III

They are everywhere:

They are in the White House

They are driving pick up trucks with gun racks

They are waving flags and doing talk shows and singing for a united America

I do not know who they are anymore

one name, one face, one Nation under God

It hearkens back to the B-movies in the 50’s: the clones, the walking dead,

Senator Joe McCarthy the background noise

I listen forth rational solders of these times,

for the informed and prudent voices.

The talking heads, and they are everyone, are dividing as they multiply

I do not know What the Flag means anymore

As with God, everyone seems to take a piece of it

And thus separated, we are all at war

Cardboard cutouts, anonymous diversities

encampments that around  the campfire begin to make more enemies.

Let us define a Common Good.

Let us devise a Bigger Picture.

Let  God shed His grace before it is too late.

Let us Be. Let us Be.
