The Fine Arts Center has developed several event planning tools that
we think will be particularly helpful to students who wish to present
performing, visual and literary arts events on campus. Please watch
this page for future resources on how to develop programs.
Listing
of Art Spaces on Campus is a listing of places
on campus where students, staff and faculty can present their film,
music, dance, literary arts and theater events. Faculty may find this
helpful when advising students about where they can present their art
events. See below for information about our , which provides a similar resource for faculty
in the visual arts.
Guide to Galleries on Campus: Download a copy of the printed guide by clicking on the underlined text, or you may wish to pick up a printed copy (made available thanks to funding from the Alumni Association) at the offices of the UMass Arts Council by calling 413-545-4164. Many faculty have distributed these guides to students in their classes. An electronic version of this guide will soon be available!
UMass Arts Council: Many students, staff and faculty have excellent ideas for sponsoring art events on campus, but lack sufficient funding to support these events. The UMass Arts Council is an excellent source of funding for art events on campus that should not be overlooked.
Funding Resources on Campus: Is a comprehensive web site that lists
funding sources on- and off-campus. In a single location, members of
the campus community can learn about where they can apply for funding
to support their programs and events.
