We are happy to provide the following teaching resources for Faculty, TA's and Teaching Staff at the University:

PUBLICATIONS (printed and electronic):

  • Catalogues of the University Gallery Peruse the extensive collection of exhibition catalogues published by the University Gallery since 1975 at this site.

  • Study Guides for Performances Plus! Teachers will really appreciate these study guides that help to prepare their students for a visit to Performances Plus! These engaging guides are refreshed as new performers come to the University, so check back often!

  • Asian American Women Playwrights Archives A significant collection of plays and information about Asian American women has been amassed by the Fine Arts Center's New WORLD Theater. The collection is housed in the W.E.B. DuBois Library's Special Collections and Archives on the 25th floor of the library. Call the Library at (413) 545-2780 for information and open hours.

WORKSHOPS AND PRESENTATIONS

  • Artist Residencies in the Schools While an artist is performing at the Fine Arts Center, many teachers take advantage of this proximity by hiring the artists to offer a residency in their schools. Funding can often be arranged through Local Cultural Councils (whose grant deadlines typically fall in mid-October), as well as through local PTO's. If you are interested in learning about upcoming artists and performers who may be available (and appropriate!) for a residency in your school, please email the Education Access Department at edaccess@admin.umass.edu to be added to a mailing list that announces the availability of such residencies when they arise.
