Public Television for Western New England
WGBY, a community-supported public broadcasting organization, connects the people of our region with ideas, events and each other to fulfill their aspirations, enrich their lives and improve their communities.
WGBY welcomes the opportunity to partner with community groups to take more in-depth looks at regional issues. WGBY brings a variety of media and outreach services to each subject, fostering local conversations and presenting engaging activities around national issues and broadcasts.
WGBY's current community projects include:
In a collaboration with Springfield Day Nursery and the Springfield Republican, WGBY presents Learn What You Can View, Read, Do !: a pilot program focusing on early childhood readiness for school entry. Throughout this partnership, WGBY will work with Springfield Day Nursery to deliver resources and training to Family Child Care Providers on how to incorporate engaging multi-faceted lessons into their child care settings. Each week, a new lesson will be available through the Parenting section of the Springfield Republican encouraging parents and providers to read more to their children, engage in hands-on activities, and co-view television.
Some Things We've Done Already!:

Through WGBY's Ocean Adventures Outreach Campaign, over 1,000 educators received access to ocean education lesson plans, classroom activities, and program DVDs geared towards promoting conservation and ecological awareness.
