The University of Massachusetts Amherst Alumni Association strives to strengthen the lifelong bond between the university and its alumni, to support and enhance the student experience and to help shape the future of UMass Amherst.

A non-profit organization, the Alumni Association is governed by alumni members, and contributes to the vitality of the campus by perpetuating alumni involvement through reunions, homecoming and alumni events.

Through UMassAlumni.com, alumni have access to an entire community of alumni worldwide, where they can search for other alumni by geographic area, professional field, degree or other affiliations. The online Career Center, part of the alumni online community, provides alumni with the ability to search for jobs, post a resume, seek a mentor, or sign-up for individualized career coaching. Alumni can stay in touch with friends by updating their personal profile or posting class notes, and visiting UMassAlumni.com often, to keep abreast of alumni events where they live, volunteer opportunities and new alumni benefits. All alumni can receive @UMASS , the free Alumni Association electronic newsletter, delivered each month to their email account, keeping them informed of news on campus and alumni events all over the world.

The Alumni Career Services program provides an interactive alumni forum on career development and management. In addition to online resources, alumni can attend targeted programs and workshops held around the country, throughout their career.

Through more than 35 regional Alumni Clubs across the U.S. and abroad, alumni can participate in social, educational, cultural and athletic programs to sustain, renew, and form friendships with other alumni.

The Alumni Association provides $40,000 each year in sponsorships and grants to student and campus organizations, and awards over $100,000 each year in scholarships to deserving students. It also sponsors the Student Alumni Association, which provides members with the opportunity to represent the Alumni Association at campus events, at Campus to Career events for students, and plan the annual Commencement Ball.

Every fall, alumni come back to campus for Homecoming. The Alumni Association hosts the Alumni Tailgate Tent at this and other home football games, where alumni and friends can get togther before the game starts, and enjoy a great cookout together.

Each spring, the Alumni Association hosts Reunion, when members of the 50 th reunion class and other anniversary classes come back to campus to reminisce together, see the growth on campus, and participate in special events.
