In conjunction with the symposium the University Gallery will exhibit realized and unrealized projects of Public Art that illustrate and illuminate contemporary trends and practices. This juried exhibition complements both the theoretical and practical themes of the symposium, and demonstrates how the topics of temporality, community, place, and practice are employed and comprehended. The exhibition will not only highlight the participating artists’ innovative approaches to art-making in the public realm, but critically examine the spectrum of possibilities available to artists in the creation of public art today.
