SOLD OUT Join the Visual Arts Interest Group of the Friends of the Fine Arts Center in a unique experience as we meet on the roof of the Metropolitan Museum of Art to view the spectacular work of artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude. This two-week project, 26 years in the making, is the husband and wife's first temporary outdoor artwork in New York, their home of forty years. It consists of 7,500 saffron-colored gates (each 16 feet in height and hung with saffron panels placed at 12 foot intervals over 23 miles of pedestrian walkways that lace the park.)
