An exhibition of works by twenty artists who explore the critical topic of violence in the US, including war, terrorism, hate crimes, domestic violence, youth violence and street crimes. The exhibition cuts across class, color and gender. Artists include Mel Chin, David Wojnarowicz, Kristin Oppenheim, Brad McCallum, Inigo Manglano-Ovalle, Leon Golub, Ida Applebroog, Sue Coe, among others. This series of anti-war woodcuts produced in 1915 are Segal’s most expressionistic, dramatizing the violence of hand-to-hand combat. Segal achieves his powerful statement by utilizing an aggressive line and stark contrasts of black against white.

A documentary about the story of Brandon Teena (a.k.a. Teena Brandon), a young woman who felt herself to be male and so assumed a masculine identity.
