Bridges and Boundaries Revisited African Americans and American Jews Saturday, September 11 - Friday, October 22, 1999
This exhibition is based on one that was organized by The Jewish Museum, New York, in collaboration with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Primary Source Saturday, September 11 - Friday, October 22, 1999
Primary Source features the work of Roger Ackling, Dove Bradshaw and Sandy Gellis in which the artist allows the natural element and/or process to become the ultimate cause of the object's fabrication. Thus, the artist allows a certain process, such as the pattern of rainfall over a one year period, as in Sandy Gellis's work or the rays of the sun, as in Roger Ackling's work, to determine the outcome of the work.
