Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR) is a composer, performer, violinist, and bandleader who seamlessly blends funk, rock, hip-hop and classical music. For this special presentation he performs his compositions with string quartet which explore iconic figures of the civil rights era including Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Jr., Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. and Maya Angelou. Readings and laptop samples by DBR.
