Interactive programs for children to talk about the roots of violence in their lives and explore the many ways they can use their inner resources of peacemaking to create a just, loving and peaceful world for themselves, their communirty and our world. Activities include theater, poetry/rap, dance, discussions, and peace games. Youth teaching artists from Project 2050, a youth initiative of the New World Theater, will be featured in these activities. Project 2050 brings together youth and adult artists, organizers, scholars and activists to create original theater/poetry/dance pieces. Also featured: Victory Over Violence (VOV), a youth-sponsored non-violence initiative which helps young people identify and counteract the root causes of violence.
