“Jazz in July Showcase: Personal Approaches To Improvisation” – It's American Idol Jazz in July style featuring performances by the 2006 faculty: Geri Allen , piano; John Blake , violin; Gregory Caputo , drums; Bruce Diehl , saxophone; Bob Ferrier , guitar; Catherine Jenson-Hole , vocals; Jeff Holmes , trumpet/piano; Chip Jackson , bass; Steve Johns, drums; Sheila Jordan , vocals; Matt Richard , piano; Genevieve Rose , bass; Billy Taylor , piano; and Frederick Tillis , saxophone.

“The Best of CBS Sunday Morning Jazz” – Featuring a “best of” collection of Billy Taylor's interviews captured on film with various jazz legends - Dr. Billy Taylor will also be hosting this dvd and video retrospective!
Wednesday, July 12
“Time Is Not A Magazine/Beat Is Not A Vegetable ” – A lecture demonstration exploring the role of the rhythm section in jazz with the Con Alma Trio : Jeff Holmes, piano; Genevieve Rose, bass; and Gregory Caputo, drums.
Thursday, July 13
“A Historical Overview of Bebop, Cool, and Hardbop” – This session pr esented by Dr. Willie Hill addresses modern jazz's main characteristics and key contributors. The Con Alma Trio: Jeff Holmes, piano; Genevieve Rose, bass; and Gregory Caputo, drums – will assist Dr. Hill to demonstrate the various styles.
WEEK TWO
Monday, July 17
“The History of Jazz in Living Sound” – From turn-of-the-century New Orleans to the present time, all styles of jazz will come to life with the Tillis-Holmes Duo : Frederick Tillis, saxophone; Jeffrey Holmes, piano.
Tuesday, July 18
"Three's Company" - From the instrumentalist's perspective, Chip Jackson , bass; and Steve Johns , drums - team up to discuss and demonstrate a variety of trio configurations with the help of other Jazz in July faculty.
Wednesday, July 19
"The Vocalist Meets The Rhythm Section" - Sheila Jordan on the mic demonstrating what every singer and instrumentalists should know about making music together - featuring Sheila Jordan , vocals with the Bezanson Trio: Matt Richard, piano; Dave Shapiro, bass; and Mark Holovnia, drums
