The UMass Fine Arts Center is producing a benefit concert for Haiti Relief on Thursday evening, February 11 at 7PM in the Concert Hall. All proceeds from the concert will go directly to Partners in Health (PIH). PIH has been working on the ground in Haiti for over 20 years. PIH works to bring modern medical care to poor communities in nine countries around the world. The vast majority of PIH staff are local nationals based in the communities they serve.

As of now, the following confirmed performers are on tap for that evening: Erin McKeown ; Joe Velez and Creacion (smooth Latin jazz); UMass Jazz Ensemble I, the Young at Heart Chorus, Martin Sexton, Erin McKeown, the FlavaEvolution Quartet, Haitian American poet Lenelle Moïse, the Haitian Amercian Student Association Dance Group, the South Asian Student Association Dance Team, the Doo Wop Shop, and other special guests. Tickets are $20; $10 for students and youth 17 and under.

Tickets are available in person at the box office or online at www.umasstix.com, or by calling 545-2511 or 800-999-UMAS.

Stand for Haiti has come together through the generous efforts of partners such as WFCR/WNNZ, the Center for Student Development, the UMass Dept. of Music and Dance, the Haitian American Student Association, the City of Springfield - University of Massachusetts Amherst Partnership, the UMass Alumni Association, the Amherst Chamber of Commerce, WGBY, 93.9 The River, the Valley Advocate, the Daily Hampshire Gazette, The Recorder, Hampshire Hospitality Group, and the Northampton Arts Council.

Our goal is to raise as much money as we can for Partners in Health's relief efforts in Haiti.

For those who cannot attend the Stand with Haiti Benefit Concert, they can make a donation at Partners in Health (www.standwithhaiti.org/haiti).

At the same time and bookending this event, the Northampton Arts Council will be presenting its Four Sundays in February series and will be passing the hat to raise funds for PIH. The Four Sunday series begins Sunday, February 7th and continues until Sunday, February 28th for the Really Big Show. For more on the Four Sundays series, visit www.northamptonartscouncil.org.
