Turtle Island Quartet has been a singular force in the creation of bold, new trends in the blending world of jazz and chamber music. Their programs take audiences into swing, be-bop, rock, salsa, classical and jazz through a repertoire of hundreds of works fusing the classical quartet with 20th century American popular styles through a performance practice that honors both. The beautiful sacred music of jazz great Duke Ellington forms the backbone of this incredible project featuring the Grammy award winning Turtle Island Quartet and one of today's most formidable jazz vibraphonists-- Stefon Harris.
