White Tara Long Life Blessing and Practice
Healing in Tibetan Buddhism


Saturday, October 25, 2008
Yoga Sanctuary, Northampton, MA   from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Advance $20, at the door $25, Five College Students and Seniors, Advance $10, at the door $12
White Tara is the female Bodhisattva of compassionate activity, the supreme mother and collective manifestation of the enlightened activity of all the Buddhas. She is said to see all suffering and respond to requests for help. Her yogic method promotes health and extending one’s lifespan. Following an overview of meditative practices in Buddhist traditions and the method of deity yoga in Tibetan Buddhism by Professor Gardiner, Khen Rinpoche will give a White Tara blessing and lead a guided meditation in White Tara practice. A condensed text (sadhana) will be available for daily practice. Open to all, regardless of prior initiation or practice.

This event is presented in partnership with the Friends of Khen Rinpoche , The Yoga Sanctuary at Thornes Market, Northampton, Pema Tseyang, Thondup Tsering, Pasang Norbu and members of the WMASS Tibetan Association.
