Raga and Tala: Sitarist Mita Nag and Pandit Samir Chatterjee on Tabla

Cancelled, 2009
Bowker Auditorium   8:00 pm
Asian Arts & Culture Program regrets to announce that Mita Nag's performance has been cancelled due to immigration and visa issues.
Mita Nag's, powerful rendering of classical Indian ragas leaves the audience breathless as melody and resonance of the Sitar strings ripple through her supple fingers. Mita holds the Nag family legacy of six generation of musicians and today represents the purity and perfection of an unbroken tradition through her music. Samir Chatterjee is a virtuoso tabla player performing in numerous festivals throughout the world and with renowned musicians from both Indian and western musical traditions.
