![]() Healing Through Compassion: Exchange of Self and Others ![]() Saturday, October 17 Florence Civic Center, Park Street, Florence from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm $20 per session; students and seniors: $10 per session; Day of the event: $25 & $12 WMASS Tibetan Association members: sliding scale of $5 to $10 per session Khen Rinpoche will teach the method of practicing Tonglen, the exchange of self and others, a powerful systematic healing method of cultivating compassion and happiness through developing the altruistic mind of enlightenment. This technique, originally taught by the classical Indian Buddhist scholar Shantideva, is strongly cultivated in Tibetan Buddhist practice. Professor Gardiner will present historical and philosophical contexts of this powerful practice. There will be opportunity for questions and answers. Presented in partnership with the Friends of Khen Rinpoche and the Manjushri Institute for Buddhist Studies
