| The UMass Arts Council offers three types of grants: Block Grants, which support the operating expenses of established art programs on campus, Single Project/Event Grants, which support a single arts-related project, event or series, and are apportioned in four funding cycles over the academic year and Mini-Grants, a which supports small art events on campus. Instructions and an application form for Mini-Grants and Single Projects/Events grants are provided on this web site.
Only organizations that are affiliated with the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and involve UMass students through program management, participation and/or as an audience in arts related events (such as music, dance, theater, video and film production, visual arts exhibits, etc.) are eligible to apply for funding. Examples of eligible organizations include: registered student organizations, academic departments and cultural centers. Other grant criteria are described in the section, who can apply?.
