A clearinghouse of information about any aspect of mediation, including types of services and the location of mediation programs. - Offers technical assistance in areas such as starting mediation programs, developing training and locating resources. - Works with local courts and communities to develop long-range funding plans for mediation, including contacts between courts and mediation programs. - Offers activities designed to improve the skills of mediators, mediation program staff and court personnel and to increase awareness to the public. - Conducts research studies on various aspects of mediation to assure the quality of appropriate use of mediation.
