DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
**Customers should always try resolving issues with utility company first before calling the consumer complaint division.**
Resolves consumer complaints concerning gas, electric, telephone, and water companies. Their services include:
- Complaint handling: receives complaints about utility practices, especially those regarding utility billing and termination practices for resolution
- Conflict resolution: works to resolve conflicts that arise between consumers and utilities. Hold hearings if conflict cannot be resolved by telephone
