DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The mission of the Counseling Service is to provide psychotherapeutic services to Smith undergraduate and graduate students during the academic calendar year. Services include: consultation, assessment, psychiatric evaluation, individual and group psychotherapy, referral, and crisis intervention. Psychoeducation and outreach are offered on mental health topics, especially those pertinent to women's mental health, for example: eating disorders. The Counseling Service provides consultation to the college administration and the student community on emotional and psychological issues on campus.
