The Graduate Student Grants Service (GSGS), located on the campus of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, helps promote the scholarly activities of graduate students who seek extramural support for their study. GSGS provides a variety of funding opportunity information services, training workshops and individual and departmental consultations. Office and Website (http://www.umass.edu/research/gsgs/ ) has links to a variety of graduate student resources such as: -Fellowships by Discipline – a listing of major external grants and fellowships available to graduate students. -External Funding Databases – Links to the Community of Science and Illinois Researcher Funding databases. -Proposal Writing Links – Need help writing your funding proposal? These links will help you get started. -Tips for Students – contains a variety of information, including an overview of the fellowship process, help for writing a curriculum vitae, and tips for specific student populations. -Fellowship Announcements – descriptions of key grants and fellowships, including those from the Ford Foundation, NASA, and the National Science Foundation.
