DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
ASHA is a national, non-profit organization working for the elimination of sexually-transmitted disease through its program of education, research and public policy.
The public education program publishes patient education pamphlets and materials for health professionals. The support programs address genital herpes and genital warts.
The ASHA Research Fund encourages medical research on STD's.
ASHA maintains a public policy office in Washington, DC in an effort to keep the issue of STD before Congress. ASHA also works to encourage adequate STD program funding at the state level.
The National STD Hotline has info on yeast infections, herpes, genital warts, pelvic inflammatory disease, syphilis and gonorrhea, etc.
